Supporting the West Hills High School
Band, Drumline, and Color Guard

Group ID#: 3347406

TEMPO (Totally Excellent Music Parent's Organization) is a partnership between the parents and
family members of the West Hills High School “Blue and Black Brigade” Band, Color Guard and
Drumline students. While the school and district provide a classroom, instruments, and transportation,
much of what makes the program successful is dependent upon the financial support and
volunteer efforts provided by TEMPO family members.

TEMPO's mission is to support the activities of the West Hills High School
Blue & Black Brigade - band, guard, and drumline - through
volunteerism, fundraising, and community outreach.

Donate an Instrument

TEMPO accepts donations of gently used band and orchestral instruments.
If the instrument is not something we can use today, we will make sure it gets to a
local band or orchestra in need. We cannot accept pianos or organs.
To donate, please send your well-packaged instrument to
PO Box 711633
Santee, CA 92072
Please include your name, address, phone number and e-mail address
inside the package. A tax letter will be sent within 8 weeks of receiving the instrument.
We also always like to know the history of the instrument and how you decided
to donate it to us. If you have any questions, please email us.

TEMPO is governed by an elected board of volunteer directors, with meetings held monthly.
Attendance at TEMPO Executive Board Meetings is open to all TEMPO members. General
membership meetings will also be scheduled by the band director throughout the year. This is
an opportunity for her to provide detailed information about upcoming events and activities. Parent
attendance and participation at General membership meetings is strongly recommended.
