Perhaps, over time, we will stop using it, and high technologies and big minds will offer us an organic alternative. In the meantime, all we can do is use it less in everyday life, or find a secondary use for it. For example, build a greenhouse from plastic bottles.

We will try to tell you about the main nuances of creating a greenhouse from bottles. The main thing in this business is to stock up on plastic containers.
Plastic has a number of significant advantages over other materials, from which you can also build a greenhouse.
When compared to plastic wrap for greenhouses, the bottles look more impressive. In addition, plastic is not as easily damaged as polyethylene.
The crops that you plan to grow in the greenhouse really need sunlight, so transparent bottles are best suited for the construction of the structure, which, among other things, will scatter the rays. If you add green or brown bottles, you can adjust the light penetration, creating shaded areas. In this case, a greenhouse for orchids made from plastic bottles is considered ideal.

In order to build a roof, you will need those plastic bottles, which also need to cut off the bottom and throat, and cut the cylinder into 2 halves. Before you start building a greenhouse frame, you need to make a foundation. There is no need to make it deep, since the plastic structure itself and the wooden frame are lightweight. The frame and base of the future greenhouse are constructed according to the type of construction from canvases.
The only difference is that the frame is built with corner beams, upper and lower straps. The walls will be reinforcement rods on which you will string bottles. The diameter of the reinforcement should be such that the rod fits snugly into the neck of the bottle. The length of the rods should be 10 cm longer than the height of the frame. In order for the plastic bottle to fit tightly on the fittings, a hole should be drilled in the bottom of the same diameter as the throat.
In all subsequent bottles, only the bottom is cut off, and tightly strung one on top of the other.
Reinforcement rods are attached to the frame at the top and bottom using self-tapping screws. The remaining prepared elements must be assembled, guided by the same principle. The resulting bottle posts must be pressed tightly, avoiding the formation of gaps. The greenhouse roof can be assembled in an identical manner.
For waterproofing the greenhouse, a film is laid under the plastic parts, and the gaps are caulked in order to protect the seedlings from the penetration of wind.
