Country toilet-teremok + photo Country toilet-teremok with your own hands + dimensions and drawings

Country toilet-teremok - a great option to equip it in a summer cottage, or in the yard where there is a country house for permanent residence. It has an unusual appearance, and also has a simple device that is available for repetition with your own hand.

In order to make a simple toilet, a minimum amount of tools and quite popular materials in a small volume are required. The main structure is a reliable and simple timber frame.

General information

The gables and walls of the tower in the usual design are sheathed by means of grooved lining.

Its roof is gable, with a large angle of inclination. assembly and finishing nuances are detailed below. The toilet, which is decorated in the form of a terem, is installed on a prepared base at the end of the assembly process. This is a pit in which a concrete ring is laid, which in the future is covered with a monolithic slab.

Design variations

The general view of the building is almost always the same in any design.

This is a recognizable profile of a fairytale-type tower, which in this case is a simplified miniature copy of it. In order to diversify the appearance of an outdoor toilet, several methods can be applied. Including, changing its shape - the frame structure makes it possible to do this without losing the required bearing capacity and strength.

It is possible to significantly modify the design of the toilet in the form of a tower thanks to its finishing. For example, for cladding walls and gables it is allowed to use:

Since the building itself is intended for installation in an open space, the first of the options that is proposed should not be used for decoration, although it is the cheapest. The thing is that, due to constant temperature drops and changes in humidity in this finish, after a while, sufficiently replaceable gaps appear, which is not good for the house with its main function.

The lining and all kinds of imitations, the installation of which is carried out using the thorn-groove system, excludes the possibility of gaps formation even after most years of the operational process. Moreover, this type of finish looks more neat, giving an already unusual structure presentable. A new method to diversify the appearance of a toilet design in the form of a terem is the use of various materials for roofing.

The best way for this is:

  • Flexible (that is, soft) shingles.
  • Ondulin.

  • Metal tiles.
  • Profiled flooring.

It is important to note that the latter option is slightly different from other editing technologies. This point is mentioned below, in the section where a step-by-step description of the construction process is presented.Further, you can modify the building thanks to the use of various materials for finishing and protecting wood.

Interior and exterior wood paneling can be coated with:

  • Wood oil.
  • Stains.
  • Paint material of the required color.
  • Colorless varnish composition.

In order not only to decorate the finish, but also .

..

to make it more resistant to changing weather conditions, firing can be used. The lining is first fired using a gas burner (we do not recommend using gasoline) until a black color and a certain relief are obtained, and then the soot is removed, and the resulting surface is covered with a transparent varnish or other means of protection. wood processed by this method will become more resistant to external types of influences, and it looks even more expensive with the inexpensive implementation of the firing technique.

Additionally, the "birdhouse" can be decorated with various small-sized decorations - artsy awnings, horseshoes, unusual latches, door handles and other details.

Manufacturing and arrangement of a toilet in the form of a teremka

The construction of a suburban toilet-teremka with your own hands is done step by step in several stages:

  1. Purchase and preparation of building materials.
  2. Assembly process of the frame.
  3. Sheathing of walls and gables.
  4. Laying roofing material.

  5. Preparation of the site for the toilet.
  6. Installation of the finished toilet frame in place and final work.

After that you will find the main nuances of all stages using a specific example.

Preparatory stage of materials

In order to make the toilet shown in the photo, the following materials are required:

  • Country toilet-teremok + photo Wood screws.
  • Wooden bars 5 * 5 cm.

  • Metal corners and plates for strengthening frame joints.
  • Finishing for the pediment and the wall - lining, tongue-and-groove boards, timber imitation, or a block house of your choice.
  • Hardware - latch, awnings and doorknob.
  • Roofing material - profiled decking, metal or soft tiles.
  • When using bituminous tiles, an additional OSB is required.

All of the above is purchased in the amount required to build a toilet according to a certain size. To do this, you need to sketch out the drawings of the building in advance, and calculate the required amount of certain materials. In addition, in this case, a concrete ring was used to arrange the base and a monolithic slab was made. Naturally, the materials will require sand, cement, gravel and lumber for the manufacture of formwork.

Frame assembly

The supporting frame is assembled from a 5 cm bar (wood).

At this stage, the general shape of the tower is set, which, as mentioned above, can be slightly changed according to its own acceleration. For example, you can make a slightly larger camber of the side walls - the tower turns out to be more spacious inside, and outside it will be squat. To make it more "slim", the profile of the walls on the sides needs to be performed closer to the vertical plane. It is most convenient to start the frame assembly with the door frame. Next, the front corner posts and rafter legs for the roof are attached to it.

To give structural rigidity, the rafters are connected by means of transverse bars in several places. The entire frontal frame part of the toilet is assembled on a flat horizontal surface. It is less difficult and convenient than the cost as it will be used. By analogy with the front frame part, the rear is assembled. The only difference here is the lack of a door frame.

Instead, the rafter legs are additionally fastened together at the level of the upper supporting part of the corner posts.

After the rear and front parts of the frame are finished, they are fastened together by means of the same wooden beam. The result is a three-dimensional type structure that is ready for finishing. It is recommended to additionally strengthen the joints of the timber in the most important places by means of corners and metal plates. The dimensions of the frame can be selected individually, at your discretion.

The values below can be used as landmarks:

  • The total height of the toilet is 3.2 meters.
  • The height of the roof frame is the same height as the corner posts.
  • The distance between the upper ends of the posts in the corners is 1. 4 meters (may vary to obtain the required shape of the tower).

  • The height of the racks in the corners is 1.6 meters (or at the level of the eyes of a standing person).
  • Floor base 1.2 * 1. 2 meters.

  • Doorway 0.8 * 2 meters.

All the above dimensions can be slightly changed.

Finishing process

When the frame is made according to the drawing and the dimensions of the country toilet-teremka, it can be quite simply sheathed in finished form with a classic block house or wooden clapboard. These trims can be cut to size and attached with nails.

It should be noted that it is better to use stainless nails for this. They are usually used to decorate the steam room in the bath - copper-plated, galvanized, etc. When using self-tapping screws, it is recommended to pre-drill holes 2/3 of the fastening length. The drill diameter should be 0.5-1 sizes smaller than the self-tapping screw itself.

Drilling prevents the wood from splitting. Similarly, a similar technique is recommended for use with frame assembly. It will take longer, but more reliable and better. Damage and scrap of material is excluded, and the durability of a structure made of wood will increase significantly.

Clapboard first needs to sheathe the side walls.

The edges of the finishing material are cut flush with the frame bar. After the front part is sewn up, including the pediment. The ends of the trimmed lining, which is pre-cut to the level, will hide behind the front finish, and will not be visible if you look at the toilet-teremok from the front (during the entire operational period, they look at it only from this angle). In the same way, it is required to finish the back wall.

For door cladding, you can use the same material as for wall cladding.

The material for the roof is attached to the rafter legs with self-tapping screws. We recommend using a waterproofing material. If flexible shingles are used as a roofing material, an OSB substrate is sewn on the rafter legs in advance.

The method shown in the photo is used to equip the roof ridge. Sometimes the door is made of three-inch planks, which are fastened on the back by means of bars.

From the front, it is sheathed with the same clapboard, the only difference will be the combination of diagonal and vertical placement of elements, which will give a beautiful appearance. After manufacturing, the door is mounted on the frame of the opening by means of two awnings.

Preparation of the area and installation of the toilet-teremka

The basis for such a toilet can be realized in different ways. In any of the options, it is required to dig a hole in advance, and fill a drainage layer from coarse gravel at its bottom. The walls can be laid out of bricks, but the installation of a concrete ring will be much faster and easier.

To build a toilet on the street near the house of permanent residence, it is required to use 2-3 rings to make the volume of the cesspool larger, as well as to reduce the intervals between pumping it out.

After that, on a concrete ring, it is required to equip a platform for assembling the assembled terem. The best base will be a concrete slab. To create it, formwork is pre-assembled from building boards and laminated plywood. For the slab to be strong and durable, it is important to reinforce it.

To do this, before pouring concrete, it is required to tie a frame made of steel reinforcement (a diameter of 1 cm is more than enough). At the end of the preparation work, concrete is poured into the formwork.

The site is left for a month until the solution hardens perfectly. Approximate dimensions of the area for the toilet-teremka described above:

  • The length of the slab is 1.5 meters.

  • Width - 1.5 meters.
  • Thickness - from 0.1 to 0.2 meters.

So that there is no unpleasant odor in the toilet, the platform in the form of a slab can be equipped so that an exhaust pipe can be installed in the back of a concrete ring. Due to the pressure difference in the pit and at the level of the roof, the aroma will be drawn out of it through the pipe, and not through the hole inside the toilet. At the end of the construction of the suburban toilet, it remains only to equip the toilet seat, protect and decorate the wood, mount the door handle and latch, insert the glass into the opening for light from the Sun.
