Often, the composition made with your own sleeves turns out to be even more effective and reliable than the factory one. Is it difficult to make glue for certain types of materials? The individual required ingredients are sometimes quite difficult to find, but, one way or another, a self-made product will be quite high quality.

To make this composition, you will need a modified resin and a special hardener .
If the product is supposed to be used in construction work, then various additives may be required.
This can be aluminum powder, for example. Epoxy glue is quite difficult to prepare on your own, you must follow the instructions exactly.
Hardener and epoxy mix well: For forty parts of hardener, use sixty parts of resin. After the mixture has thickened well, it should be placed in water heated to seventy degrees.
All the necessary fillers are introduced into the mass last, to give it the required consistency. The agent must have a certain fluidity so that it can be easily and simply applied to the prepared surface.
It is the most common glue, which is actively used not only for simple household work, but also in industrial construction.
It is successfully used as wallpaper glue, it is used for priming surfaces before finishing, it is added to the composition for gluing tiles.
It has such a wide scope that we can confidently say that for a prudent owner, it turns out to be a real lifesaver.
How to prepare glue according to the instructions?
This will require:
The cooking process consists of two stages. On preparatory - gelatin is soaked in prepared water for 24 hours. Then comes the turn of the main stage of preparation of the PVA adhesive. Distilled water is placed on a water bath.
Add flour mixed with water and pre-prepared gelatin . The resulting mixture is heated to boiling, but not boiled. The consistency of the resulting product should be like a fairly thick sour cream. The mixture must be homogeneous, therefore constant stirring is required during preparation.
Then alcohol and glycerin are introduced into it.
Stir the resulting composition thoroughly until maximum homogeneity is obtained.
Depending on the amount of the prepared substance, the process can take up to ten minutes. Before using the prepared product, you must cool it down.
At home, it is also quite possible to prepare an adhesive for working with rubber products. Aviation gasoline, several pieces of high quality soft rubber, will be required for work.
They must be finely crushed and then placed in plastic or glass containers, where they are filled with clean gasoline. Leave it like that for a few days. Then the resulting solution is carefully poured and placed in a cool place. You should get a homogeneous, fairly thick mass.
The surface to be glued must be thoroughly degreased.
Perhaps this is one of the most successful compositions for wood. But also firmly and reliably joins cardboard, paper and many other materials.
But this product has some characteristic features:
Therefore, the agent is first boiled until a dense gelatinous mass is obtained from it, which is better able to be stored.
When there is a need for glue, a smaller piece of the required size is cut off from this piece, and dissolved by heating over a low fire. There are several different ways to prepare good quality joinery.
The following are most commonly used:
A wooden stick is used for this purpose.
If the mass suddenly burns, it will turn yellow and lose some of its working adhesive qualities. When the mass turns into a thick liquid, vodka is added to it, in a ratio of 950 to 720. Vodka, respectively, is 950 grams, and the mass is 720.
Also, 12 grams of alum in powder is added to every 100 grams of glue.
The composition obtained in this way glues reliably and efficiently, providing the glued surfaces with strength and water-repellent qualities.
For use, approximately 720 grams of the workpiece is dissolved in a mixture of vodka and water (360/720), bringing the resulting product to a boil.
For insulation and insulation of homes today, foam is often used. Plates made of this material are usually glued to load-bearing walls.
To carry out this procedure, you will need a special glue, which is not suitable here. The fact is that some solvents such as acetone can melt the material.
The already mentioned joinery is the ideal adhesive for styrene foam and polystyrene foam.
But at home it is possible to make another means for gluing such materials - one that contains cottage cheese. Slaked lime is mixed with cottage cheese in equal proportions until a sufficiently homogeneous substance is obtained.
Such a composition hardens rather quickly, so you need to cook it in the required amount and use it immediately.
Casein glue is suitable for a variety of leather and wood products. To prepare it, you will need ordinary cottage cheese, which must be defatted. It is soaked in an aqueous baking soda solution (one to two tablespoons per liter of water) for about twenty minutes. Then it is washed with clean water, squeezed out well and dried.
The mass should harden. It is crushed to obtain a dry powder - it is casein.
To prepare the glue, a certain amount of it is placed in a container, where water is added in a thin stream, with constant stirring, in the ratio one to two (there should be more liquid). It turns out to be a rather thick mass. It is very important to take a responsible approach to the mixing process - the quality of the resulting product directly depends on it.
This activity usually takes up to half an hour.
Using a mixer with an attachment, this time can be shortened. The resulting glue perfectly connects parts of wood, leather, and is widely used for shoe repair. But the prepared mass should be used within two to three hours, then it will harden and lose its adhesive ability.
In addition to the above, there are many different methods for preparing high-quality glue for glass, blocks and PVC.
This homemade composition can be successfully used for pasting walls and ceiling surfaces. It is enough to choose the most suitable one from a variety of recipes.
A very simple and affordable way is to use old, used linoleum and acetone. The process is very simple. Linoleum must be chopped (cut with a knife or scissors) into small pieces that must be placed in an airtight container.
Then add acetone there, in an amount twice the amount of the first ingredient.
Tightly close the dishes with the contents, leave in a dark place for about half a day (12 hours). This is usually enough time for the pieces of flooring to dissolve completely. The resulting agent can reliably join products made of porcelain, metal, leather, wood, ceramics and other materials.
