As a rule, this composition can be used to level and smooth the plaster, and in new houses it is used as the first layer or after priming. To save money, you can buy the base mix in gray, because it is cheaper. The product should be applied not in a thick layer, but in case of significant differences - use reinforcing coatings. Without the latter, the layer of dried material will simply fall off.

Finishing putty

This composition helps to form a smooth surface for finishing types of finishes. Typically, such compositions are applied in 1 layer, forming a white smooth coating. It can be pasted over with wallpaper, painted, even in light colors. In appearance, the finish coat differs from the starter in excellent smoothness (due to the fact that there are no large particles) and whiteness.

Universal composition

There are also universal means (start-finishes) that have unique properties. They can be applied in a thick layer with a minimum particle size. The area of ​​application is wide - sealing joints on drywall sheets, eliminating cracks and deformations, and even leveling the bases. Such products have a white tint and do not require the application of a finishing putty.


Preparatory step and application

Before using the plaster material, it is important to familiarize yourself with the sequence of actions and carefully observe the rules for preparing the solution and base.

Preliminary work

All coatings to which the putty will be applied must be clean. Dust, dirt and stains should be removed. A vacuum cleaner should be used to clean cracks and depressions, which will make it possible to quickly remove even the smallest particles. Then apply a deep penetration primer - it improves the adhesion of the putty to the base.

Preparation of the composition

The instructions always describe the process of making a construction mixture, if it is sold in dry form.

The tools, as well as the mixing container, must be clean. The algorithm is as follows:

So, to apply gypsum plaster on the walls, several spatulas of different sizes are required. With a small one, take the mass and place it on a large spatula. Then, with smooth and even movements, paint on walls or ceilings. In this case, the tool should be held at an angle of 55-60 degrees to the surface, and press evenly on the base.

Note that each layer should not be 0.5-0 thick. 8 cm for the starter layer. Directions of movement on the surface of the walls - from bottom to top, on the ceiling towards yourself. If necessary, use a reinforcing mesh.
