How to make a mini pool for a summer residence? Which one is better to choose? Installation and recommendations + Photos and Videos Mini pool for summer cottages: which one to choose, installation, recommendations Unfortunately, not everyone can afford to rest in the summer on the seashore and bask in the sun on the clean sand.

The main reason for this is lack of funds or time. But those of us who have, even a small, but suburban area, can make a mini pool to decorate the landscape of the summer cottage with our own hands. The only thing left to do is choose the pool that you want.

Specific differences of pools that you can make with your own hands at the dacha

Having a pool at a summer cottage, even if it is small, is the dream of any summer resident.

There are several types of different pools that differ in their miniature size.

Among them, you can most often find the following types:

  • Seasonal. These pools can only be used during the summer season. After the end of the summer, it is possible to dismantle them and hide them for storage during the winter period. Such structures in their structure have tubes that are empty inside, and which can be connected using fasteners.

The middle of such pools is lined with polyvinyl chloride film, which is 1.5 to 2 mm thick. The seasonal pools can accommodate a maximum of 2 people. They are easy to build and easy to maintain. But the disadvantages include the fact that they have a short service life.

  • How to make a mini pool for a summer residence? Which one is better to choose? Installation and recommendations + Photos and Videos Stationary. The main feature of such pools is that they are made of small frame-type sections. Moreover, each of them can be made of several types of material: steel, wood, plastic or duralumin. Stationary mini-pools for summer cottages can be used all year round. This means that when creating them, certain sections should be used, which are connected to each other with lock-type fasteners.

Inside, such a pool is lined with four layers of polyvinyl chloride film. They have many advantages, among which we note a long service life (up to 16 years), can have various shapes and depths up to 2-2.5 m. Among the huge number of advantages, there is also a significant disadvantage - the impossibility of dismantling and installing in another place ..

Small-sized pools, which are most often made in the country, can be of various shapes:

  1. Rectangular . Such buildings will be a wonderful decoration for any, even the most luxurious suburban area. In addition, the shape in the form of a rectangle makes it possible to decently save on usable area, which is very important if the site is not the largest. But do not forget that such pools require additional reinforcement design.

  2. Round . It is thanks to the round shape that the pools are able to withstand high water pressure. The round frame of such structures does not need reinforcement and additional support. As a rule, they are small in size, and are great for children's fun, since they have no sharp corners, which becomes a guarantee of safety.
  3. Oval .

This type of structure combines the properties of a rectangular and circular shape. So, the rounded corners provide resistance to pressure, the depth does not exceed 1.5 meters, and in such a pool you can not only cool off on a hot summer day, but also swim comfortably.

In addition to the forms presented above, mini-pools for a summer cottage made of plastic can be in the form of a polygon, figure eight, and so on. The choice of form depends only on the wishes and size of the site.

Pools are also distinguished by the type of water circulation:

  • Surface. In such pools, water filtration is provided only on the surface. These are small buildings, which are preferable in small suburban areas.
  • Overflow. In such pools, water is filtered over the entire area and surface.

Mostly they are used in summer cottages with a large area.

But how to make a mini-pool for a summer residence with your own hands? Different types of pools may require individual construction technology. For example, let's consider the features of the construction of brick and frame pools, since it is these types of structures that are used for home construction by jack of all trades. You can do this by watching the video tutorial.

We create a pool for a summer residence with our own hands

Stationary mini-pools

Stage one.

After you have chosen the shape and type of the pool, you should prepare all the tools and materials that you will need for work:

  • Construction tape.
  • Hydraulic level.
  • Shovel and bayonet shovel.
  • Insulation material, for example, polystyrene foam.
  • Concrete.

  • Crushed stone.
  • Reinforcement, the thickness should be no more than 1-1.2 cm.
  • Board with a thickness of 2.5 to 3 cm - we will use it to create the formwork.

  • Wire.

These are the main materials that will be required when building a stationary pool in the country.

Stage two. Process description

The construction process consists of the following steps:

  1. First, we define the place where you want to install an artificial reservoir. Using a construction tape, mark out the pit, which will become the basis of the future pool.

  2. How to make a mini pool for a summer residence? Which one is better to choose? Installation and recommendations + Photos and Videos Dig a pit along the markings, in depth it should not be more than 1.8-2 meters. Use a construction excavator to determine the depth, and you can also pull out the pit manually.
  3. Use a spirit level to check the levelness of your bottom. Pool walls should be at a slight angle, about 25-30 degrees.

  4. Next, you should prepare a mixture, which should be of sand and gravel (proportion 1 to 1).
  5. This mixture is used to cover the bottom of the pit. The thickness of the layer should not be more than 0.2-0.25 m.

  6. Cover the top of the layer of gravel and sand with a waterproofing film. Insulation should be laid on the film, the thickness of which should be from 0.5 to 0.6 m.
  7. We make a frame from reinforcement.

  8. The finished frame should be covered with a concrete screed. For the manufacture of high-quality concrete mix, choose the M500 cement brand. The thickness of the screed should be about 5-6 cm.

When installing the walls, you should already have a ready-made formwork. To do this, use boards, the thickness of which will not exceed 0.

25 m. The formwork should be mounted so that the width of the wall is 10 cm.

Please note that when performing the described additional space should be left for installing the filter and draining the water. Inside the formwork, the cavity should be filled with pre-prepared concrete. It should dry out for about two weeks.

After that, the formwork must be removed and the installation of waterproofing can begin.

Now you can start designing a mini-pool for a summer residence. You can use various materials for this purpose, for example, a tile that can be laid out on the bottom as well as on the walls.

Brick mini-pools for summer cottages

This type of pool is chosen by summer residents for construction with their own hands, and quite often. To build a brick pool with your own hands, you will need the following materials and accessories:

  • Building level.

  • Bayonet shovel.
  • Brick.
  • Concrete.
  • Wooden pegs.
  • Drain pipe.

  • Waterproofing.
  • Gravel (crushed stone).
  • Wire.
  • Armature.
  • Hammer / nails.

  • Boards.

During the construction of this pool, it will be necessary to use a certain type of concrete, namely hydraulic concrete. Its distinctive feature is that it contains a hydrophobic additive.

First, you need to decide on the location of the future pool. At this place, dig a pit, ideally it should be 15 * 20 m 2 .

The boundaries of the pit can be distinguished using wooden pegs and a rope stretched over them.

The ditch should be connected to the pool with a pipe.

Along the perimeter of the pit, reinforcement should be installed, there should be a distance of approximately 0.3-0.35 m between the rods. When all the rods are installed, they should be tied together with a special wire.

When creating the formwork, you can take boards with a thickness of up to 2.

5 cm or lumber. It is mounted at a distance of 0.15-0.18 m from the soil. The inside of the formwork should be filled with hydro-concrete.

After that, it leaves everything to dry for 35-40 days. After the expiration of the period, the formwork can be removed.

For brickwork, the pool wall will need to be brought to the correct height. And at the end of the wall we finish with a tile, for laying which you will also need to use hydro-concrete.

Features of creating a heated pool

If you want to create a mini heated pool at the dacha, then this is a good idea, since you can swim in it any time.

Although the air temperature will not always please with high rates, if necessary, you can swim at any time. So, what is the peculiarity of such structures?

For the construction of such pools, certain equipment is used:

  • How to make a mini pool for a summer residence? Which one is better to choose? Installation and recommendations + Photos and Videos Heat exchanger. Heating water using this equipment is the most common option. In the heat exchanger, water circulates and heats up evenly. To operate this heating equipment, it can be connected to the general electrical network of your home.

When a certain temperature is reached, the water in the heat exchanger is only maintained at the required level.

  • Electric type water heater. With the help of a special heating element, water is heated and supplied to the pool, a powerful heating element can act as an element, which is covered with a special coating, due to which corrosion does not develop. This makes it possible to use it for a very long time. But this method is suitable if you need to heat small amounts of water.

  • Pump (heat). This heating equipment is used to heat small volumes of water in mini pools. The heat pump can also be connected to the network at home.
  • Solar panels. This method is convenient for residents of those areas and regions where there are many sunny days.

In this case, the water is heated as it passes through the collector from solar energy, which is converted into electrical energy. This is the safest and most environmentally friendly way to heat water.

  • Heater (fuel). When using water heaters of this type, you will get the maximum efficiency (as experts say). The equipment runs on special fuel, which can be gas, solid fuel or refined products.

Despite the advantage in the form of high efficiency, there is a big drawback - for installation, you will need to contact certain organizations and obtain permission for installation.

When choosing a particular type of equipment for heating water in a mini pool in the country, a huge number of factors should be taken into account: the power and type of the electrical network that is in the summer cottage, the dimensions of the pool, the planned temperature level to which you want to heat the water, etc.

Proper care should be taken to prolong the life of the equipment. For example, you should constantly disassemble it and remove the plaque from the internal elements, which are formed due to direct contact with water.

It will take you a lot of time and effort, but your efforts will not be wasted - you can swim and swim at any time convenient for you.
