Mortar for pouring fence posts - how to make, technology. The filling of the fence posts should be approached with all responsibility, since the duration of service and the reliability of the fence as a whole will depend on this. How to install and what materials are best for this?
Let's find out.
Advantages:
Disadvantage - if you concrete the pillars, then after a certain time they will begin to bulge out of the ground due to precipitation. Such a situation often arises due to the fact that groundwater lies near the pillars, and they, in turn, push the supports with a concrete base out of the ground. There is also the possibility of cracks in the concrete.
You will need the following materials:
First you need to prepare the surface and only after that you can start installing the supports for the fence. It is necessary to cut off the rhizomes with a shovel, remove the sod so that there are no obstacles during drilling. The size of the pit should be as deep as possible. It is convenient to take the earth out of the pits in a wheelbarrow, and it is better to do this right away, so that later it does not interfere with you during construction.
The soil should be drilled to the freezing depth (about 150 cm), and then install the expander on the plow and you can start arranging the anchor expansion from below.
Thanks to this simple technique, frosts will in no way affect the position of the pillars, and they will stay in place.
The main criterion when pouring concrete pillars is not only the visual appeal, but also the technical side of the issue, as well as the installation method, which includes certain elements.
The types of pillars are:
Thanks to this, you can extend the service life.
It is also difficult to attach lags to the base.
Before you start filling the pillars under the fence, you should decide which pillars you need are needed, and here everything depends not only on your desire, but also on the material of the fence:
Ideal - concrete, metal and brick supports. For structural strength, we recommend using iron corners as a frame along the entire fence.
Reinforced concrete pillars should be placed in the corners.
It is worth noting that wooden poles do not need to be poured with concrete, since if the wood is damaged in the future, such a pole will be completely replaced not easy and you have to break the concrete and do it all over again.
For this, it is better to use an absest / steel glass, which will make it possible to replace the bar if necessary. But for pouring pillars for a metal fence, it is better to use cement compositions.
Pouring can be of several types:
First you need to measure your future fence. Once you know the total length, you can calculate the number of supports needed. If you will use wave or flat slate as a fence, there should be a distance of less than 2 meters between the posts.
If you use corrugated board, 2 meters will be enough. Lightweight structures like a chain-link mesh can be installed on supports that are located at a distance of 3 meters from each other or even more!
After that, markup should be made. We measure the plot, divide its length by the length of the fence sections and add one - the resulting number means the number of columns. If the result is a non-integer number, the flight distance should be corrected.
Please note, that when measuring and marking, it should be noted exactly where the structure will be installed.
Do not forget to consider the fact of installing a gate or wicket.
Usually the length of these elements does not correspond to the layout of the sections, so the number of supports will not be accurately determined. The usual entrance gate is about 3 m wide, and the wicket is only 1 m wide. Now you can start drilling or digging a recess for installation. If the site is located in a humid area, where severe frosts are characteristic, it is better to refuse partial concreting, and change it to tape installation.
With a mobile drill, you can make a neat hole or use a hoe. The hole should have a diameter of 2 times the size of the support, and lie at a depth of more than 30% of the entire height of the structure. It turns out that if the height is 2 m, then the depth of the pit should be 1.3 m.
Insert a pillar into the finished pit, check the installation accuracy using a plumb line or level, then fill it with earth and tamp it well.
Then take a solution for pouring fence posts and fill the surface. A plug must be installed on top so that when it rains, water does not get inside and does not cause the destruction of the structure.
Dig a hole in the same way. The bottom should be covered with crushed stone-sand mixture. On one side, weld the heel to the post to make it more stable.
This time, as a support, you can use a flat sheet, which will be wider than the pillars in diameter, or a lattice made of reinforcement.
Important! The structure should be lowered into the pit as far as it will go, leveled and filled with concrete to the top. When pouring, the mixture should be tamped with a steel bar.
If the site is located in an area with high humidity, the base of the post must be sealed (roofing material can be used). Roofing material should be twisted into a ring, larger than the size of the pit by 0.
2 meters. This will prevent water from entering the concrete during the pouring process.Next, one edge should be closed in a "glass" with a plastic bag, and secured with tape. We place the structure in the meow and then do everything according to the usual scheme.
Installation and pouring of fence posts using the tape method includes the following steps:
4 meters depth, 0.15-0. 4 m width) along the entire perimeter, where the structure will be installed. If you are installing a fence made of corrugated board or slate, then the width of the ditch can be made small, but for brick supports you should try hard. The main support must not be immersed deeply, since thanks to such a foundation, weight and wind cannot damage anything and do not loosen the structure.
The next frame should be installed perpendicular and 0.2 meters higher.
To begin with, we drill a hole, make a glass of roofing material, but without bottom insulation.
Such a cylinder should be placed in a pit, and then the post should be immersed, the heel should be lowered downward. Everything should be leveled with a level, we fill in sand, gravel or other material between the glass and the supporting structure, from time to time we add water to properly tamp the layer.
Please note, that, regardless of the type of concreting, first of all, you need to install the extreme pillars, pull a rope between them, which will make it possible to evenly expose the residual gaps between the railing.
For installation, it is best to use frost-resistant granite crushed stone, and for filling into the hole, and when adding into a concrete base. To do this, do the following:
Next, pour water and install the pillar. Ideally, this procedure should be done together, so that someone keeps the support straight, and someone floods. Water is needed so that moisture from the concrete does not go into the ground, otherwise you will get a bad foundation.
This will protect the concrete from deformation. The base of the funnel is a bottomless bucket, and concrete needs to be bayonetted with battens from time to time.
Next, we measure how much space we have from the cord to the wooden box.
This can be done with a bubble level. Next, we fasten them with struts, concreting the upper part of the well, and at the end we remove the kingpin.
As you can see, it is not difficult to fill the fence posts with your own hands. Everyone can cope with this, the main thing is to be attentive, adhere to all the tips and then your fences will last for many, many years, and you will not need to worry that everything will collapse because of the banal rain.
