This means that the corrugated sheets are not attached directly to the building wall, but to the frame. The latter is assembled from a metal profile and fixed to the house with brackets. Before buying a profiled sheet, you must determine how much of this material you need. Calculations begin with determining the area that needs to be sheathed with corrugated board.
For this, the exact values of the length and height of each of the walls are measured and multiplied by each other. The result is area values that are subsequently added together. At the same time, it should be said that the area of door and window openings should not be subtracted from the figured out - otherwise, scraps of material will have to be mounted around them, which is not very good in terms of attractiveness.

Having calculated the entire area, select the type and size of the profiled sheet that you need. If it is installed with a vertical orientation of the waves, then it is advisable to choose a product with a length equal to the height of your walls. After determining the size of the profiled sheet, divide the total area of the exterior finish of the house by it and round the result up. Add 10-15% of the required reserve of materials to the resulting number of products, and then round again. So you will calculate how many profiled sheets you need to cover the house.
For a better understanding, let's analyze an example - there is a simple one-story house with four walls 3 m high and two pediments in the form of isosceles triangles with a height of 1.5 m. The width of the building is 8 m, the length is 12 m. We will start solving the problem by defining area of the walls. Everything is simple here - we have four of them.
The area of the walls along the length of the house is 12x3 = 36 m 2 each, in width - 8x3 = 24 m 2 . The sum of the area of the walls will look like this = 36 + 36 + 24 + 24 = 120 m 2 .
Now let's look at the pediments. This applies the formula to calculate the area of an isosceles triangle - the width is multiplied by the height and divided by two. We calculate: 8x1.
5 / 2 = 6 m 2 . Since we have two gables, we multiply the result by two - it turns out 12 m 2 . We add this figure to the total area of the walls and we get 132 m 2 . We increase the result by 10% of the reserve and round it up: 132x1.1≈146 m 2 .

Step 1. The walls of the house are prepared for sheathing with profiled sheets. First, all protruding elements are removed - window sills, frames and shutters, a visor over the front door, a drain and others. Then the distance between the edges of the wall is measured and marks are set there for fixing the brackets. After that, the points for drilling are marked along the entire surface, observing the intervals between the future elements of the sheathing. Step 3. Holes for fasteners are drilled with a punch according to previously applied marks.
Their depth is chosen based on the wall material and the mass of the elements of the future cladding. Dust and dirt formed during drilling is removed.

Step 5. The previous operation is repeated with the rest of the brackets, which must also be securely fixed to the wall. With the help of a level or stretched threads, it is once again checked how the arrangement of these elements corresponds to the conditions of evenness vertically and horizontally.

Step 6. A corner profile is laid on the brackets, which in this case serves as the main element of the lathing. Since the profiled sheet is installed with a vertical orientation of the waves, the frame is mounted horizontally. Insulation is placed between the elements of the crate. In this case, these are mineral wool slabs. It should be laid so that the material adheres as best as possible to the elements of the sheathing and there are no cold bridges in these places. It is also desirable that the upper row of mineral wool be installed with an offset to the lower one - in a pattern resembling brickwork. So the thermal insulation properties of the material increase, since there are no cold bridges along the vertical joints of the plates.

Step 8. Points for fasteners are marked on the surface of the mineral wool. In these places, both the insulation itself and the wall behind it are drilled.

Step 10. Unpack and unwind the steam and wind protection film. Then it is cut into lengths slightly longer than the height of the wall. The foil is attached to the topmost batten and then unrolled downwards.
Before performing this step, remember at what height the parts of the frame are located (or at what length, if we are talking about vertical elements).

This work is performed using metal scissors - it is undesirable to use a grinder, since this damages the anti-corrosion coating and subsequently the material will quickly rust. After trimming, the sheets are stacked in the required place and adjoin the previously mounted additional elements. Fastening is carried out using roofing screws with press washers, and their color must match the color of the corrugated board. The interval between fasteners is one or two waves of corrugated sheet. The roofing screw is screwed in to such a depth that it is firmly held in the frame, but not too much - it is necessary to leave a gap of 1 mm to compensate for the thermal expansion of the sheathing.
