Instructions for the use of nairite glue

Instructions for the use of nairite glue How to use nairite glue for everyday life and not only

If your shoes are torn, then at all it is not necessary to throw it away immediately, because it can serve for a very long time. There are special adhesives that can be used to "revive" old shoes. For example, you can use a special adhesive, which is also called nairite glue, to seal leather, rubbers and other materials

Material and its characteristics. With prolonged wear, the sole often flies off the shoe, and this is due to the torn nylon threads with which it will be sewn. In repair shops, shoe glue is often used for restoration, or rather, nairite is a one-component material, for the production of which they use nothing more than chloroprene rubber (this is nairite).

In appearance, this resin is translucent type and has a light yellow color. It also contains:

  • Iron salts.
  • Organic type solvents.
  • Vulcanizers.
  • Chlorinated polymers.

This adhesive can be used to treat seams on boots or boots - it is water-repellent and does not yet allow the product to get wet. After the film dries, substances harmful and toxic to the human body simply do not remain. In this case, the process of sealing the place of gluing goes "with a bang". Conventional adhesives of this type can be purchased in large containers, but most brands are in the form of small tubes. Shoe masters most often choose products from Italy and Poland.

There is another option, much cheaper, but of lower quality - these are compositions from Turkish manufacturers.

Consider the main characteristics of the nairite adhesive composition:

  • Instructions for the use of nairite glue It has a non-volatile component of 24%.
  • The density of the composition is 0. 85 grams / cm 2 .
  • The delamination index is 62 N / cm during the first day.

  • The maximum opening time is up to 1 hour 5 minutes.
  • Reaching the maximum strength of the adhesive layer is 3 hours 10 minutes.
  • Thermal resistance is 75 degrees.

And now a little about the use of this tool

Main area The use of such a tool is shoe repair, and the adhesive composition is able to firmly bond leather and leather, artificial materials, shoe fabric and nubuck. You will also burn to connect a fabric base with the inner shoe surface, glue heels on heels, and also attach soles.

It is also allowed to glue the zipper instead of sewing it on. In addition, you can use a means to fasten each piece of rubber, wood, porcelain, ceramics, metal, glass, felt, plastic. With the help of such a tool, you can glue on the basis of decor items during construction - modings, tiles, plastic corners, and the best quality product is produced in cans, and it is this glue that will connect the parts most reliably. Tube adhesives are used for products that are subject to less friction and pressure (for example, boot tops).

Advantages and disadvantages

Before considering the instructions for using nairite glue, you should consider all the advantages and disadvantages of the product in order to know about the advantages of such a universal and quality product.

The composition contains only low-toxic substances, and you can use glued products without any fear.

Other advantages are as follows:

  • High thermal stability.
  • Flexibility, elasticity, plasticity even at lower temperatures.
  • Reliability of connections due to deep penetration into the material.
  • Resistant to salts, acids and water.

  • Possibility of operation at low temperature levels.
  • Retention of properties at temperature drops.

By the way, the material is very convenient to use, and also easy to use. A disadvantage, and at the same time perceptible, can be called the drying time - it is slightly longer than that of many similar products. But this makes it possible to calmly place the glued elements and, if necessary, have time to correct mistakes.

The adhesive composition can be left unheated before gluing and application, because the cold gluing method can be used. After drying, even thin leather itself will not be deformed, and therefore such glue can be used even for very expensive shoes.

Popular brands of adhesives

There are several popular brands of products that are on sale - these are Eva, Kenda Farben and others. Below we decided to describe the most popular adhesives.

Such an adhesive composition as "Nairit-1" or glue 88-P1 is a very strong, high-quality composition.

After drying, a thin layer will create a flexible seam that will not burst, will not crumble, even in winter. Nairit-1 on shoes for a long period of time will perfectly retain its operational properties. Ideally, it is worth using a cold gluing method for such a material. It will be possible to use shoes only after a day (and with a hot gluing method after 3 hours), but the reliability of the joint will be several times higher.

This adhesive composition for shoes is made in Italy, and it is the best glue of the nairite type according to most masters.

The tool is perfect for the most expensive shoes made of eco-leather, natural leather, nubuck, and with its help you can perfectly glue rubber boots, insoles, and also cover the heel. With the hot method, you can use the shoes after 3 hours, and with the cold method, after a day.

Such a means of Russian production, because of which its cost is lower than that of analogues of imported production. The composition contains a special rubber mixture, and the material itself is widely used for the repair of various shoes, and such an adhesive is no less popular for gluing metal, plastic and rubber in everyday life.

This material is also produced in Russia, and it will be possible to glue parts, soles to synthetic or leather shoes, as well as a pair of fabrics.

It is best to use the hot method of gluing with such a nairite glue, but then you can safely use the products at temperatures from -40 to +70 degrees.

Instructions for use

It is interesting that working with nairite is not difficult. There are two ways to use glue, as mentioned earlier, cold and hot. Both methods will lead to fairly reliable and stable performance, and yet do not differ much from each other. The instructions for use are simple, and we propose to consider both methods separately.

Cold method

So let's start:

  1. Instructions for the use of nairite glue Prepare the product for use, wipe with a dry cloth, remove particles of dust, dirt, and other unwanted elements (for example, zippers and locks), which can only interfere with the gluing process.
  2. Degrease the bonded areas with a special compound to improve adhesion.
  3. Apply the first coat of shoe glue.
  4. Leave for 10 or 15 minutes to set.
  5. Go over the bonding areas again and apply a second coat of adhesive.

  6. Leave to dry for about 24 hours

For clarity, we suggest watching a helpful video tutorial. The cold gluing method does not require additional equipment for work and the adhesive properties of the glue will be much higher if you let it dry properly. Moreover, there will be no need to put a sofa leg or even a weight on top of the shoes to improve the adhesion of the adhesive materials to each other. The glue will do its job perfectly, even without special tools.

Hot method

Hot method is no less effective, but here you need to have a burner with liquid fuel on hand:

  1. Clean all adhesives from dust and dirt.

  2. Degrease the areas to be bonded.
  3. For high viscosities, thin the adhesive with gasoline, acetone or any other solvent at hand, and for perfect adhesion, sandpaper the bonding areas.
  4. Apply the first layer of glue, wait 10 minutes.
  5. Next, apply a second coat and leave for 1/2 hour.
  6. Heat the surface above the burner to a temperature of +85 to +92 degrees, firmly press the materials to be glued together.

  7. Leave the shoes to dry and bond for at least 5 hours.

Please note that you cannot use open sources of fire for heating to avoid damage to the bonding elements, and especially expensive leather products.

The maximum coefficient of strength when gluing the material will be already 2/3 hours after the cold method, and the shoes will be wearable in a day. If you are using the hot method, you can put on and wear your shoes after 5 hours. And yes, many are interested in what exactly to dilute the composition if the glue is thick (excessive thickness of the method will lead to a deterioration in the adhesive quality and difficulties in gluing).

You can add any type of solvent, dilute with gasoline or ethyl acetate 1 to 1. The required amount of dry powder should be diluted immediately before use. But do not forget about simple safety rules due to the flammability of the glue.

Please note that before starting work it is worth looking at the temperature and ventilation inside the building. By the way, the temperature should not be lower than +15 degrees, and the room should be well ventilated in advance.

Regardless of the brand, nairite glue will dry slowly, which will make it possible to gently glue all materials together without haste. Also, regardless of the method of gluing the products, the glue does an excellent job. You can put on shoes and wear in any weather a day after the cold method of gluing, and if used hot, then after 6 hours.

Storage and dilution

How to dilute the material if it has become very thick, we figured it out (gasoline and ethyl acetate in equal proportions). You can also rinse instruments with such a liquid composition, if necessary.

Such glue should be stored at temperatures from +6 to +22 degrees in an undamaged industrial container. The jars are placed away from fire and heat sources, and the shelf life is 1 year.

Similar agent "Desmokol"

This agent is a polyurethane adhesive, which has become a novelty among the materials for boots. It can also be used to glue chair legs, metal, linoleum, glass, and repair rubber boats and equipment. Due to the high level of strength and reliability of the connection, Desmokol helps to replace the more expensive nairite glue.

Even when molding PVC soles, this agent is added to the composition to improve performance. Usually products are sold in large containers (up to 200 liters) and in small tubes of 50 grams. Application can also be divided into a couple of ways - hot and cold gluing. Both means (Nairit and Desmokol) are interchangeable, and often masters use them alternating with each other.
