Since it is physically impossible to make the rooms any longer, it is possible to expand the living area at the expense of the balcony. There are several ways to increase living space, and one of them would be to increase the loggia by using a stove.
It will be profitable to build up the slab if the initial dimensions are not very large.
An increase in the balcony slab is expansion. This is done by building up a metal frame at the level of the slab, but at a certain distance from it. Further, the frame is covered with wood panels or steel sheets, and the floor covering can be laid on top. The walls must be flush with the slab in height. It is required to lay logs made of timber or metal channels on the sides, and a plank floor is required on them.
In addition, you can install a reinforced concrete slab, make a screed and cover it with any floor covering - laminate, ceramic tiles, linoleum, depending on how the room will be used.
For expansion on the second floor, it is worth using supports - concrete pillars, metal pipes.They are installed at protruding frame corners, deepened into the wall and concreted to give stability. The structure will be fully supported by the pillars, and therefore does not need to attach the profile to the wall at the lower level. In the same way, you can expand the balcony on the ground floor, if you do not use the space under the balcony as a cellar.
