For comfortable living in a private house, it is necessary to establish good water supply. The most common source of water is a well or well.
Of course, you will have to make a lot of effort to build a well with your own hands, but the result will certainly please you. [contents ]
Why it is worth choosing a well:
Artesian wells are called wells, the depth of which can reach 70 meters .
It is impossible to make such a well without the use of technology and therefore it does not suit us.
The well "on the sand" suits us better, primarily because unlike artesian, it is not necessary to make permits for drilling.
A well is made using a special drill called auger.
With the help of rotation, it is screwed into the ground to its entire depth, and then, pulling it out, pour out the earth that remains on the blades. Then, having grown the pipe from above, the action is repeated, continuing to remove the soil.
Pipes are connected to each other using threads or studs. The disadvantage of this method is that it is not suitable if the ground is rocky. Soft to medium formations can be drilled normally. If the soil is loose, blockages will form, which also causes problems.
In order to simplify the work of drilling wells manually, you can use a tripod with a collar and a block reinforced on top.
Using a cable, a winch and a drill block, it will be easier to get the drill, and this will have to be done often.
Soil settles in one, water flows into the other. Little water is required because it is constantly circulating. Sediments are removed from the pit with sand with a shovel. If the water is too dirty, then it must be replaced. This is done by pumping out with a pump, but they are fed not into the well, but to any other place on the site.
After changing the water, drilling continues.
When the well reaches the desired depth, a casing made of PVC or HDPE is installed in it, at the end of which a filter is located.HDPE is easier to work with - it is more flexible. At the end of the casing, holes are drilled - this is a filter, its length is about a meter.
The filter is completed by winding a wire made of stainless steel, and a fine mesh on it from the same stainless steel.
The process of drilling a well is carried out by raising the shell and lowering it into free fall. With each impact, the hole deepens slightly. Every 50 cm, the projectile is freed from the soil, and the whole process is repeated anew. Having cut a well, you can start construction.
When arranging a well for uninterrupted water supply, special equipment must be installed:
The caisson is equipped with a neck with a tight-fitting lid. The caisson is usually made of a cylindrical product with a diameter of 1 m and a height of 2 m.
5-3 atm.
We install the caisson by digging a hole around the well, about two meters deep and 1.5 meters wide. We lower the caisson into the pit, placing it in the center. Then we cut the bypass pipe and weld it to the bottom of the caisson using electric welding. We connect the electric cable of the pump and a pipe to this structure to remove water.
We fill the caisson with soil so that only the lid remains on the surface.
2. We install a submersible pump observing some features:
- pump water until there are no impurities in it;
- install at a height of 1m from the bottom;
- at the same time we install a plastic pipe for water supply and a cable to control the work to adjust the pressure. After installing the pump, install the head.
3.
The installation of the accumulator is carried out taking into account free access for repair or replacement in the future.
It is necessary to provide a check valve in the direction of the water flow, and to drain the water - drain valve. The use of a rubber seal when securing the accumulator will help to reduce the level of vibrations. You can place the accumulator either in the basement of the house or in the caisson. This completes the well completion.
Thus, now you know that it is troublesome, but doable, to drill a well for water in the country and make its arrangement with your own hands.
