Necessary alignment tools and step-by-step instructions + Video and Photo Using the level, it is necessary to study the horizontal level of the floor, then find the highest point of the room and find the dips in the plane. If the difference is more than 15 mm, then such pits will first need to be filled with cement mortar (tile glue is still well suited for this).

In modern apartments, the floors are uneven, which makes us, when renovating, make high-quality leveling of the floor throughout the apartment. It is easy and convenient to become the owner of flat floors in your apartment using solutions based on special dry mixes. Pouring a self-leveling floor will not be difficult even for an inexperienced builder.

A level for pulling out the floor is used when it is necessary to lay:

  • Necessary alignment tools and step-by-step instructions + Video and Photo Linoleum;
  • Laminate;
  • Tiles;
  • Carpet.

Advantages of self-leveling mortar:

  • Allows to work in small layers;
  • Gives a strong and smooth coating;
  • The poured floor dries and hardens quickly.

Despite the fact that this type of mixture is relatively easy to obtain a perfectly flat surface, they are very capricious - you need a high-quality base.

Therefore, before starting work, you must familiarize yourself with the technical features and instructions.

Where to start preparatory work?

  1. The self-leveling ability of the floor level is too exaggerated, so beacons must be installed.

    After taking the first steps, you need to remove all the debris: sand, dust, small stones. If paintwork has already been carried out in the room before, it is necessary to remove the stains from the gypsum putty, because the gypsum does not tolerate moisture and our coating may eventually simply peel off .

  2. Be sure to cover all the cracks in the floor with tile glue or cement mortar. Next, we proceed to the floor priming. This can be done with a boom roller or spray.

    The main thing is to carry out this work with special care. Ideally, the primer solution is of the same brand as the leveling solution. We prime the surface two times!

  3. In order to avoid additional work on washing adjacent surfaces from the mixture splashes, cover them with polyethylene and masking tape. After the above procedures, the surface is ready for pouring. In the next room, you need to prepare a place for mixing the solution: cover everything with foil, prepare water and containers for mixing, a drill with a whisk, a needle roller and a spatula.

  4. First, add the required amount of water to the bucket. Next, pour the dry mixture into a bucket of water and stir with a drill until smooth. After the solution has been stirred, it must be left to "stand" for a chemical reaction to occur, and the mixture is well wet during this time. After the mixture has stood for 5-10 minutes, stir it slightly and pour it onto the floor.
  5. Attention.

    We begin to fill the floor from the far corner and move towards the door. Each new portion of the mixture, poured onto the surface, should lie next to the previous one, it can even overlap. The main thing is to avoid too much influx. It is not necessary to spread the mortar very close to walls and corners. Better then "hold out" the solution there than to remove the excess.

  6. A craftsman who constantly works in the room stretches and levels the mixture with a spatula and a needle roller. The roller MUST be needle-shaped, it allows you to evenly distribute the solution, sealing it by removing air bubbles. For uniform coverage, you need to navigate the beacons. Near the walls, you need to roll the roller in a longitudinal way. All actions must be done quickly, but smoothly, because the mass is in a working viscous state for a maximum of 20 minutes.

  7. Attention. The needles on the roller should be larger than the thickness of the self-leveling floor. When spreading the mixture, make sure that in the end it reaches zero mark on the beacons. It will be possible to start laying the topcoat not earlier than after 3 days. At the time when the mixture hardens, it is necessary to ensure that there are no drafts and dust in the room, avoid direct sunlight and cold.

What is the cost of leveling the floor?

The price of a floor leveling level is much more expensive than conventional cement mortar, but you need to understand that the final result of the leveling mixture is simply amazing ...

The price varies, depending on the manufacturer and the type of mixture, ranging from 100 to 600 rubles for a 25 kg bag. The average consumption of the mixture is 1.

7 kg per square meter, it turns out that one bag will be enough for an area of up to 16 squares. Thus, the price of filling one square meter will cost from 10 to 40 rubles.

When planning to fill the floors, calculate the costs not only for the solution, but also for the services of the master (if you do not plan to do the work yourself). Depending on the professionalism of the master, the price for such a service varies from 200 to 600 rubles per square meter.
