subfloor with insulation in section- Overview + Video It doesn't take much time to build a frame house. Due to the simple construction technology, strength and reliability, frame houses are very popular. The device of the floor in such a house is slightly different from the usual construction options. Its arrangement immediately follows the foundation stage , and only then the walls and roof frames are erected.

What you need to install the floor of a frame house

Any construction starts with ordering a project plan.

For the construction of a frame house you will need:

  • a hammer;
  • a chisel;
  • an electric plane;
  • circular saw for wood;
  • level;
  • plumb line;
  • drill and drills;
  • screwdrivers;
  • pencil;
  • ladder ;
  • tassels.

The floor in a frame house must be correct and durable, since it bears the load of not only people walking on it, but also the structure of the house itself, furniture in it and other important things.

Before installing the floor, you need to know the level of groundwater at the place of the building. It depends on whether the floor will be made in one or two layers.

Before starting work, carefully study all stages of the process.

Layout of air vents in the foundation

  1. We place the supporting base directly on the ground. Usually this is a reinforced concrete slab, poured on the spot.
  2. A subfloor is a wooden base, the load-bearing part of which is made of any wooden beams.
  3. Interfloor floors in frame houses are created according to the type of supporting structure. They can be made from slabs or wooden beams.

  4. The finished subfloor must meet all the requirements of the future floor type. The lathing can be done using a wooden beam, which is laid out on a system of beams or a supporting plate.

If you want to arrange a plank floor in a frame house, prepare materials such as:

  • burnt red brick;
  • shunted boards 40 cm thick;
  • gravel;
  • sand;
  • beams with a section of 100 x 80 mm;
  • roofing material;
  • mesh -rabitsa;
  • nails;
  • mortar of cement or concrete;
  • concrete screeds and slabs.

Preparatory stage for arranging a warm floor with your own hands

Check the foundation for equality of diagonals and height differences. If necessary, level the floor with a cement-sand mortar.

Along the perimeter of the foundation, we install anchor bolts for fixing the beds. Inside it, we make concrete supports for the support beams, with a step of 2 - 3 m.

We waterproof the foundation by coating or pasting, and lay roll waterproofing between the upper plane of the foundation and the beds.

We make pockets for floor beams in the walls of the foundation.

Laying the bed

Planks are planks laid along the perimeter of the foundation and attached to it with anchor bolts.

They are carefully leveled and fixed, as the mortgage board is attached to them.

The thickness of the boards for the legs is 50 mm, and their width is equal to the width of the foundation.

  1. We lay the boards on the foundation, equal on one side. We cut off the excess.
  2. Mark out the holes for the bolts and drill the holes of the required size.

  3. Lay the beds on the foundation and tighten the bolts. We check the horizontalness and, if necessary, loosen the bolts and knock them out with stakes, and fill the cracks with liquid concrete.
  4. We make cuts above the pockets for laying floor beams.

Floor supports and beams

Beams are the main support elements on which the logs are laid. Supports are pillars made of wood, mounted on concrete, which serve to stabilize the beams and protect them from contact with concrete.

These elements are made from coniferous wood impregnated with a bioprotective compound.

  1. We mark the supports. To do this, draw a plan of their location, indicating the height. Along the line of the location of the supports, we stretch the twine, fixing it on the beds, where the cuts for the beams are made. We measure the height of each support and enter the results into the plan.

  2. We cut a beam of 100 x 100 mm in accordance with measurements. We arrange the blanks in places, laying a layer of waterproofing on the base. We nail the supports with nails to the wooden inserts made during the pouring.
  3. We put the beams in the pocket with the end, use inserts to adjust their height flush with the beds. If the blanks are long, mark the second end of the beam and cut off the excess.

    If short, then we join the beams on the support.

  4. We fasten the beams to the beds and intermediate supports with grooved nails. If the height of the supports is more than 1 m, we strengthen them with slopes from the board.

Strapping and logs

We also perform strapping from a 50 mm board, the width depends on the planned load and the thickness of the insulation.

  1. The strapping is laid on the sides of the house, parallel to the floor beams.

    We put the boards on the end, align them along the outer edge of the bed and fasten them with nails in increments of 20 cm.

  2. We mark the location of the lag. We measure from the corner along the laid board of strapping a step of 40 cm. We lay the boards for the lags on the beams, put them on the side plane and align them according to the markings.
  3. With the length of the board covering the length of the building, on the other hand, we carry out the marking in the same way.

    We cut the logs and fasten them with nails to the harness and beds, check and fasten them to the beams at the intersection.

  4. If the size of the building is larger, then the logs are overlapped. The joint should be on the floor beam. We cut 30 cm intermediate logs and hammer the joints together using the trims as spacers. After we fix the logs on the floor beams.

Floor insulation

The optimal material for insulation is mineral wool. Its disadvantage is the loss of thermal insulation ability when wet. Therefore, we protect the insulation layer with a vapor-waterproofing and windproof film.

If a low-density insulation is selected, we sew a sub-floor treated with biosecurity under the logs.

  1. We lay the vapor barrier film across the logs with sagging, which will allow the insulation to be laid between the logs.

    We glue the joints of the strips with adhesive tape, fasten the film with a stapler.

  2. We put the insulation boards between the logs, leaving no gaps. When double-laying the insulation, overlap the joints of the first with the second layer.
  3. We put a waterproofing film on top of the insulation and fasten it with staples, which protects against liquid leakage in the house. subfloor with insulation in section- Overview + Video

How to make flooring

subfloor with insulation in section- Overview + Video Often the flooring in the rooms is different, so a layer of plywood 16 - 20 mm is placed on the joists, and finishing takes place after the completion of construction.

  1. We mark the plywood sheets so that the joints are on the log. We coat the logs with liquid nails (eliminates creaking and additionally strengthens), lay sheets of plywood, fasten them with nails or self-tapping screws.
  2. Leave a 2 mm gap between the sheets, so that the floor does not lead at high humidity.
  3. In the places where communications pass in plywood, we make cuts with a circular saw, for which we first mark it.
  4. Align the edges of the plywood with the strapping board, mark them with a coated thread and cut them.

After arranging the floor, further construction can be carried out - the erection of a frame of walls and a roof. The final floor covering is laid after the installation of the internal partitions.

Warm floor in a frame house

subfloor with insulation in section- Overview + Video Needed at the stage of floor planning think over all the important details. That is, if you want the bathroom floor or the entire floor in the house to be heated, you need to make a thermal coating in advance.

It is necessary to study all types of heating and select the desired one.

Underfloor heating can be done throughout the house, and only in certain rooms.

It consists of a system of plastic pipes that are placed throughout a room or house. If your frame house is equipped with underfloor heating, take care of the control of this system, make the control center located in a place where it will not interfere with anyone.

Options for saving on ceilings and floors

You can save on the manufacture of interfloor ceilings and floors using:

  • used floorboards
  • door leaves instead of floorboards.

Not a new floorboard is often even better than the one that is sold to us in the construction markets.

She tends to be drier and by using her you reduce the risk of being driven. The price of such material can be several times lower than a new raw board.

You can find it on the dismantling of old buildings and technical structures.

Saving on floors using old interior doors

The second option is to use door leaves instead of a board. You can find old interior doors and install them instead of planks.

From above, everything is covered with a parquet board.Thus, tens of thousands of rubles can be saved on a medium-sized house.

By using this method, you can also save on time, since wood canvases are faster to cover than boards.

You can find old door leaves when demolishing old five-story houses or in the production of doors, where defective lots are bought for a pittance
