Assembling the electrical panel in the apartment with your own hands: step by step instructions. You can start the installation and assembly of the electrical panel in the apartment after the panel diagram is drawn up, all electrical wiring routes are laid along the strobes and the ceiling. Some people sometimes order ready-made solutions for pre-calculated loads and groups, and then all that remains is to connect the supply and outgoing wires.
Further, we propose to consider in detail the whole process directly independently to perform all types of work on the assembly of the shield.
We propose to take averaged data for an apartment with a small area, and it is with them that we will operate when assembling the shield:
- The number of groups must be from 8 to 10;
- There will be an RCD or a difavtomat in the shield.
- It is imperative to install circuit breakers on outgoing groups.
- The total number of modular equipment places must be up to 20 pieces.
Devices and tools that will have to be used in order to correctly and efficiently assemble the shield with your own hands:

Please note, that at the preliminary stage it will be desirable to bring the cables into the shield not at random, but in order, according to numbered groups.
Next, you should proceed directly to work.
Stripping the cable
With a knife, follow remove the outer insulating layer from all cables that are inserted into the shield and mark the cores in groups.
Next, the numbered parts should be bent and fixed on a self-made hook, which is located on the side of the shield.
Fitting the distance
To assemble the electrical panel in the apartment with your own hands, before connecting the wires, you should try and estimate the places where the modular equipment will be located and how long the wires will be required for them. Next, you need to install a DIN rail, a grounding bus and a zero bus. Nothing can be screwed and fastened until we are just trying on. Your task is to understand what is the general arrangement of the machines and where the wires are laid.
You should pay attention to several things at once:
- Distance between rows of machines.
- Distance between zero tires and machines.
Such distances should not be too small, as otherwise in the future installation process it will be very inconvenient to start and then connect the wires.
Busbars for neutralization and grounding
After the preliminary fitting has been carried out, a zero bar, as well as a bar for grounding, should be mounted and fixed in the shield. Above the terminals of these elements, you should immediately sign the group numbers.
Since the grounding wires never burn out, it is possible to mount a grounding bus on top of the shield, without any reserve of wire. But the zero should be placed at the bottom. In case you have unforeseen circumstances, you will have a certain supply of wire and by moving the bus higher you will have the opportunity to disconnect everything again without building up conductors or even replacing.
Select from the bundle of already cleaned wires the grounding and zero conductors (the latter are usually blue, and those for grounding are yellow-green), strip everything with an insulation stripper and connect it to the busbars in turn. No extra stock or extra bends required.
Assembly of modular equipment for the panel
Next, you need to perform installation work and fixing the DIN rails. Previously laid protective conductors (grounding and zero) should be behind our rail. The machines should be sequentially snapped onto it in groups.
You should adhere to the following layout of modular equipment:
It is desirable that all automation is installed clearly in the center, and on the sides there is as much space as possible for laying conductors or installing additional modular systems in the future. In order to prevent such equipment from traveling on a DIN rail, it will be convenient to use clips.
The connection should be started from the topmost row.
Select from the bundle of phase conductors that leave only those groups that go to the top row and tie them into a bundle using cable ties. Next, the harness should be laid along the edges of the shield, formed at the end of a comb in the form of the letter G, and the stripped wires should be inserted under the vending machines from below. Next, install the bottom rows and repeat all operations.
Installing the comb bus
To install the electrical panel in the apartment and for serial connection of the machines that are located in it in one row, it is worth using a comb splint. Cut all the required lengths according to the number of installed machines in the rows and insert into the upper terminals of the machines, while tightening the terminals.
Please note, that if you use budget vending machines without additional contacts specially designed for the comb shank, then it should be inserted into the vending machine so that the protruding part looks directly at you ...
Also, you can easily connect the machine with the bus contact with an additional wire, and when tightening the machine it will not bend and the conductor will not start flying out of the contacts.
Internal switching of the panel
For the rest of the disconnection of commutations, you should use pieces of a prepared wire PV3 * 10 (in order to connect the most the first machines in the row (), PV 3 * 1.
5 (for zero-type contacts in the voltage relay) and PV 3 * 2.5 (for residual current devices of individual groups and difavtomatov). If you use stranded wires that are included in the machine, they should be doubled, and thus you can increase the usable area of contact with the contact.For stranded wires, it is worth using sleeve-type lugs
The phase supply conductor of the cable should be connected through the input device (residual current device, load switch and circuit breaker), depending on the circuit. The neutral core will go directly to the neutral bus.
If the shield has a separate residual current device for the bathroom rooms, then from zero bus conductor trail uet to start exactly on this RCD. Also, a voltage relay should be connected to separate conductors from the zero type bus. The phase conductor from the input automaton should first be brought to the voltage relay and then the upper contacts of the very first automaton in the row can be powered from it. The rest of the machines are powered from the first due to the fact that a comb bus was previously installed.
All individual conductor pieces must be prepared in advance for connection.
To do this, measure the required length from the terminals of one equipment to the terminals of the second. Strip the ends using an insulation stripper, and if you have flexible wires, then press them off with NSHVI tips.
When the connection of the conductors is completed, you should go through all the conductors again and check the tightness. At the end, do not forget to sign all switching devices on the label. This completes the installation of the shield.
