This indicator can be achieved only with the use of a building hair dryer, and it should also be taken into account that with a sharp increase or even decrease in the temperature level, the glass may crack, and for this reason the heating process should be carried out extremely carefully.

It is possible to speed up the drying of the adhesive by placing the product under the press. We must not forget also about the fact that the applied load must be evenly distributed, otherwise the glass will burst.

The use of an ultraviolet lamp for gluing

In order to ensure a connection with high strength, it is worth using an ultraviolet lamp, which will be glued at times easier. They will be required in the case of using a special adhesive for metal and glass, for example, B-682-0 or VERIFIX MV 750. The first version should be used exclusively for transparent glasses.

Tips for UV lamp glue will look like this:

  1. Both surfaces should be cleaned and degreased before starting work.

    You cannot use kerosene or gasoline for this, because such substances are ways to leave a thin film. On sale you can find special solvents for glass in liquid form.

  2. By means of a hair dryer, heat the glass, which will significantly increase the adhesion rate. In this case, it is recommended to reach a temperature of about +60 degrees.
  3. The adhesive should be applied in thin layers, and then the products to be joined will be applied to each other.

  4. Use the bonding lamp to irradiate the surface twice in succession. To begin with, the degree of connection will be 70%, and on the second, the strength will be increased to almost 100%.

The duration of the irradiation process in most cases will depend on what kind of lamp will be used for this. They will all be classified according to power ratings. The first stage of irradiation usually has a much shorter duration than the second.
