There are two types of silicone sealant:

Thermal tape

For sealing the edges of chimney pipes made of plastic and stainless steel, a thermal tape is well suited. It is easy to use. Heat-resistant adhesive

Heat-resistant adhesive is used at temperatures up to 200 ° C.

Sealing the chimney with cement is a fairly long forgotten method since the last century.

However, it is still used today. The binding agent in this case is an asbestos-cement mixture in a ratio of 1: 1.
