How to fix ceramic corners? First you need to calculate the required amount of material. This is done using a conventional measuring tape. All sides of the bath are measured, the resulting amount is divided by the length of one curb and the required amount is obtained.

You will also need to purchase a few extra ones in case of spoiled ones.

If you decide to ennoble the bathroom with your own hands, then take care of the necessary tools, namely, you will need:

  1. a hermetic agent with an antifungal additive;
  2. ceramic modules;
  3. tile adhesive;
  4. rubber spatula, serrated or flat.

The curb can be laid in two ways - under the tile and on the tile.

Installation work on the device of the ceramic corner under the tile can be divided into stages:

  • The working surface is cleaned of dust and dirt. Then it is wiped dry and degreased;
  • A sealant is applied with a special device, after which the joint must be leveled with a spatula.

    If the gap is large, polyurethane foam can be used;

  • Prepare the adhesive. The glue should be dense enough and not spread over the spatula;
  • Always start with a corner border, and then longitudinal. When gluing, you should try to fit the modules as carefully as possible. With the help of a damp sponge, it is necessary to remove the glue that has come out, preventing it from drying;
  • Upon completion of laying the curb, the glue is left to dry for about ten hours. Then the entire plinth is moistened with water and again left to dry completely.

    This process is necessary to prevent the appearance of microcracks because the inside of the glue hardens more slowly than from the outside;

  • As soon as the glue dries, you need to coat the seam with a moisture-resistant sealant composition.

Laying over tiles:

  1. The surface of the bathtub and wall tiles is cleaned and degreased;
  2. Liquid nails are applied to the wall;
  3. Press the corner very tightly against the tile until it fully engages with the glue. The excess must be removed;
  4. After drying, the seam must be treated with a trowel.
